A 21st Century Workshop

 

Many people overlook the necessity to develop a personal brand in today’s day and age. Individuals and some brands even think that simply having a public presence across social media channels (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Medium, Club House) is enough. A personal brand isn’t just about pretty pictures, it’s about the personal relationships you establish, cultivate over the years, and memorialize or publicize through imagery.

If you don’t have a consistent and clear message, your personal brand can create confusion as to who you truly are and what you are hoping to accomplish.

Your message will get lost and you will give people mixed feelings if you aren’t strategic in how you present yourself and how you follow through in-person through the use of body language.

Individuals often seek professional help, during a scandal or a crisis which makes the course correction process all that more difficult and expensive.

Instead of waiting to work exclusively with a communications firm, I’ve developed a series of workshops for individuals to improve their own personal branding skills one step at a time.

I launched the series at Xander, the advertising and analytics division of WarnerMedia Commercial, a unit of AT&T's WarnerMedia, which operates an online platform, called Community, for buying and selling consumer-centric digital advertising.

The workshop was well-received, and since then I’ve been hired by individuals to improve their professional personal branding. Some have received promotions, others have landed a dream job outside their area of expertise, others have even met their spouse because I’ve been able to amplify their public-facing image and build their credibility.
